Patmos view points
Profitis Ilias: (269 meters): On a shiny day, the panoramic view from the highest point of Patmos is magnificent. There is a clear view of Arkoi, Lipsi, Kalymnos and Leros (Dodecanese islands), of Amorgos, Naxos and Mykonos, (Cyclades Islands) as well as of Samos and Ikaria Islands. The Church, located on the highest point of the hill was built in 1764. It is surrounded by a small castle and opens its doors every year on the 19th of July, (a day before the feast of Profitis Ilias) and on the 20th of July for the matins and divine liturgy.
Genoupas: (252 meters): The second highest point after Profitis Ilias. According to tradition there lived the evil sorcerer “Kinops”.
